Emily's Riding Adventure

When Emily was keeping me company at the end of August we went to see Deb and Madison and Shadow and Thunder when they were going for their usual morning ride. What a lovely spot! And there are many horses besides theirs. After their ride they shared with Emily and you can see by the looks on her face how much she enjoyed it.

At the end of August Emily came and hung out with me for two weeks. We had a lot of fun, including this Lego fest.

Time to catch up

This little cutie is Kaia. Her Mom Lisa is one of our ultrasound techs. They came to visit during the summer raspberry season. Kaia loved to play with the ball that I made for Kevin when he was a baby, like a Nerf ball. In this photo she had it under her skirt so that she looked like many of her Mom's patients!

The fellow who owns it has made it into quite the showplace with all his artwork! But they make their fries from real potatoes instead of from a bag in the freezer.

Ray and Brenda came for a really nice dinner. I think we actually were able to eat on the deck between the wasps and the mosquitoes.

My commute

I took this photo on my way to work a couple of weeks ago. It is about a mile from home, near the Nasookin, the lake was just like glass and I decided that I have the most beautiful commute in the world.
I wanted to stop and take some more photos closer to town but ran out of time!
There have been a couple of problems with sizing of photos and where the text then appears in the following posts. Please bear with me and I'll fix it!

Marketfest 2009

On the last Friday evening of June Lor and Emily and I went to Marketfest on Baker St. It featured entertainment and vendors and we sure enjoyed it all.

Farm Visit

We went to visit Dianne's farm. When she first invited us
the lambs were small enough to pick up but we didn't get
there soon enough! It still was a really nice visit.
