More of my commute
This is the view on my way to work about a mile from the previous photo that I posted back in June. The hospital is about in the middle of this photo, a beige building.
The hedge is no more!
Gordon decided that it was time to get rid of the hedge and I heartily agreed. When it was cut open we could see that it was only green on the outside foot or so. I was surprised to see how far apart our houses are.
Huckleberry picking 2009
Bonnie and Gordon took pity on me and we went picking huckleberries one day this summer. We went to the same spot that we went a few years ago, the backside of Elephant Mountain. Huckleberries were extremely plentiful this year and I now am the proud owner of 3 bags in my freezer for pie or jam or....
Emily's Riding Adventure
When Emily was keeping me company at the end of August we went to see Deb and Madison and Shadow and Thunder when they were going for their usual morning ride. What a lovely spot! And there are many horses besides theirs. After their ride they shared with Emily and you can see by the looks on her face how much she enjoyed it.

Time to catch up
This is the Hotel Ymir lobby. We went there for lunch one day with Gordon and Bonnie. http://hotelymir.com/
The fellow who owns it has made it into quite the showplace with all his artwork! But they make their fries from real potatoes instead of from a bag in the freezer.
Ray and Brenda came for a really nice dinner. I think we actually were able to eat on the deck between the wasps and the mosquitoes.
